Director of Global Compliance & Contracts
Position Overview
The Director of Global Compliance and Contracts is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and oversight of SAI-Med Partners’ global compliance and sustainability programs. This role ensures adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across multiple jurisdictions. The Director will foster a culture of accountability, ethics, and sustainability while collaborating with leadership, operations, and client-facing teams. US based candidates consider and Eastern Standard Time location preferred or willingness to work EST hours.
Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance Program Development & Maintenance
· Design and implement a comprehensive compliance framework, policies, and procedures.
· Develop internal training programs to foster a culture of accountability.
· Establish internal auditing and monitoring processes.
· Provide support for client audits.
· Ensure compliance with new MSAs.
· Maintain a centralized database for existing MSAs.
· Implement proactive notifications for expiring MSAs.
· Stay current with evolving regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and others.
· Maintaining compliance management software for tracking training, audits, and regulatory updates.
· Manage day-to-day compliance activities, including MSA reviews, risk assessments, and policy updates.
· Evaluate and refine practices for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
· Serve as the primary contact for compliance and sustainability matters.
· Maintain a centralized repository of compliance policies, ensuring timely updates and version control.
· Review third-party/vendor compliance programs for alignment with SAI-Med Partners’ standards.
2. Sustainability Planning
• Assess SAI’s current environmental impact and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop a sustainability strategy aligned with client expectations and industry standards.
• Create measurable goals, such as reducing carbon footprint and enhancing resource efficiency.
• Incorporate sustainability practices into compliance training for broader engagement.
• Establish partnerships with vendors to support sustainability initiatives.
3. Regular Reporting and Collaboration
• Provide executive leadership with regular updates on compliance and sustainability performance and risks.
• Collaborate across business units to integrate compliance and sustainability into daily operations.
• Serve as the primary compliance liaison with internal and external legal counsel, facilitating legal reviews, risk assessments, and resolution of compliance matters.
4. Regulatory Engagement
• Represent the company during interactions with client audits and client compliance teams.
· Access impact of global compliance changes.
5. Technology & Data Governance
• Collaborate with IT on data governance, cybersecurity, and privacy compliance frameworks.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Compliance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
• In-depth knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and data protection laws in the healthcare space.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance and sustainability programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
