Job Description:
- Collaborates with the Food & Beverage Director on the strategic development, direction and implementation of the plan to sell available banquet, restaurant and bar & lounge space to external customers
- Research and understand demand generators, new sources of business, and networking to establish and grow business
- Strong knowledge of the local market and similar facilities in the region
- Builds relationships with regional and local meeting and event planners to garner consideration for events
- Research and identify potential corporate and individual sponsors.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new sponsors.
- Develops potential pitch decks
- Leads negations to finalize sponsorship agreements
- Maintains detail records of sponsorship activities, interactions, expenses, income and ROI
- Maintains the master calendar for event functions in all spaces of the casino and racetrack
- Manages external agencies in developing sales collateral in both print and digital formats
- Leads in planning and communicating sales event information to external departments ensuring that each affected department is aware of and planning for events appropriately
- Communicates group information to external departments and ensuring property management team is fully aware of upcoming events
- Attends events and maintains customer relations during the event to ensure satisfaction and flawless execution
- Takes all steps necessary to ensure the financial and reputational success of all sales events
- Represent the company in a professional capacity at external functions, special events, concerts, promotions, etc.
- Ensures flawless internal control and regulatory compliance leading to perfect internal and external department audits
- Maintain department budget and revenue established goals
- Assist at casino marketing events
- Assist marketing team with promotions, events and player card sign ups
- Train and manage direct reports
- All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- College degree or other work or educational equivalent required
- Working knowledge of Triple Seat or similar event space booking management system
- 3+ years of relevant experience working in marketing manager and above roles within the casino or racing industry
- Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products
- Outstanding organization skills are a must, as is the ability to actively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Must thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment
- Strong desire to take accountability and have their performance measured on contribution to business results
- Ability to remain professional in stressful situations and the ability to thrive in high pressure, fast-paced environment
- Analytical prowess which includes critical thinking skills that get to the root of the problem
- Problem resolution, be decisive and timely, act on information and adapt with changes
- Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
Base Pay Range:
90,000 - 110,000 + Bonus
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The base salary will depend on a number of factors such as: qualifications, experience level, and skillset.
