The Director of IT will inherit a small but committed team and be expected to rapidly scale capabilities, stabilize core systems, and establish IT as a strategic enabler of Wild Republic's global operations across North America, Europe, Australia, and India. This role requires a hands-on leader who can operate at the strategic level while rolling up their sleeves to solve immediate infrastructure and platform challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure & Operations Leadership
- Own and lead all global IT infrastructure, including network, hardware, security, and disaster recovery
- Assume full ownership of the IT function from the current consulting engagement (transitioning by 10/1/2026)
- Establish and enforce IT service levels, incident management, and escalation protocols
- Lead the build-out of a disaster recovery plan and business continuity framework
- Drive the laptop lifecycle management policy (36/48/60-month tiers already proposed and awaiting implementation)
- Evaluate and implement 24/7 global EDI/IT support coverage, including vetting managed service providers
- ERP & Business Systems
- Oversee Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as the company's core ERP, including the in-progress BC Cloud upgrade (go-live targeted 9/4–9/7)
- Manage the EDI pipeline (Lanham) and ensure on-time processing with zero tolerance for missed SLAs
- Support CRM go-live for AU/EU (7/6) and USA (10/1)
- Drive scanner/WMS implementation for AU and EU in Q4
- Partner with the Director of Business Intelligence Operations on system governance, process standardization, and reducing dependency on external consulting partners
- Team Building & People Leadership
- Directly manage the existing IT team (Jon Brannon in NA; Bala and Abilash in India)
- Recruit and onboard the 2 approved Systems Support Analyst roles in India
- Support the hiring of a BC Functional Consultant to own business process governance and configuration standards
- Build a scalable IT org structure that supports a global, multi-region company
- Develop career paths, training plans, and performance standards for all IT staff
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Lead the AI Governance Policy rollout and ensure global compliance
- Establish and enforce role-based access controls, audit trails, and data security policies
- Own IT vendor management, licensing, and contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, separation of duties, and audit requirements
Global IT Strategy
- Develop a 1–3 year IT roadmap aligned with Wild Republic's global growth (NA, EU, AU, India)
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain leadership to ensure technology enables business strategy
- Drive adoption of Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, Power Platform) across all regions
- Evaluate and recommend technology investments that reduce manual processes, improve reliability, and support scalability
Required Skills / Abilities
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV) — this is the company's ERP and the Director must understand it deeply
