Summary Description:
The Director of Marketing and Communications will guide the strategy for the Brand and all external communications, website, public relations, messages and collateral to consistently articulate the mission of Fellowship Christian School. The Director of Marketing and Communications will train, supervise, and evaluate all marketing department staff and work closely with the school’s Chief Advancement Officer on all strategic initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- 50% Admissions & Enrollment - Brand awareness, inquiry generation, advertising, storytelling, social media, retention support, data analysis and awareness to drive strategy
- 30% Current Family Communication Strategy - Oversee weekly newsletter, all email communications, social media and all other communications
- 20% Brand Integrity and Alignment - Oversee brand standards adherence on all print and digital assets including the website, signage, spirit wear, etc.
Marketing
- Strategy
- Plan, and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that includes all appropriate avenues for digital, social media, and traditional marketing
- Oversee the implementation of the marketing strategy including special projects or initiatives such as Capital Campaigns in partnership with CAO
- Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan as necessary
- Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using pre-determined KPIs
- Website and Mobile App
- Oversee design or content updates, management and overall maintenance for customer facing and internal portal of website and mobile app
- Ensure that new and consistent information is received from divisions, departments, and posted regularly
- Inform blog strategy and write content
- Track and measure engagement
- Social Media
- Build annual strategy and oversee social media channels in partnership with Digital Marketing Coordinator
- Monitor non-Fellowship social media channels mentioning Fellowship Christian School to coordinate response, if needed
Communications
- Strategy
- Develop, implement, and evaluate annual communication plan for external constituency groups
- Lead the generation of online content that engages audience segments and leads to measurable action: decide who, where, and when to disseminate communication from the School
- Put communication vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of all marketing initiatives
- Plan and direct the dissemination of information including the target audience, message, format, and structure of communication
- Provide training and consultation to other staff on all aspects of school-wide communications, marketing, content management, and public relations
- Public Relations
- Manage any media contact inquiries and share with Head of School and CAO
- Represent the School in a positive way, and serve as a public face of Fellowship Christian School
- Oversee any press releases and the promotion of special school wide events
- Monitor any media outlets (digital and print) mentioning Fellowship Christian School
- Print Materials & Publications
- Develop and maintain Brand alignment on any print materials
- Manage development, distribution, and maintenance of all print collateral
- Assist with the writing of content for school publications
Branding
- Strategy
- Oversee brand consistency across all divisions
- Maintain and update Brand Style Guide
- Educate internal and external constituents on Brand Style Guide

- Approve and preserve brand integrity across all merchandise and media including school event t-shirts, parent group collateral, and academic group needs

- Oversee design and purchase of all spirit wear across internal divisions, clubs, Booster, FAA, etc.
- Manage part-time employee in charge of school spirit wear design, purchase and sale of spirit wear
