The Russ Darrow Group is looking for an experienced Marketing Director to join our team! Our commitment to our customers, employees, and communities is the foundation of the Darrow Difference. We’re seeking a marketing leader who understands the automotive business and can bring our brands to life through effective advertising, creative campaigns, and strong team leadership.

Summary

The Marketing Director leads marketing strategy, advertising, and the marketing team across our dealerships. Working closely with executive leadership and dealership managers, this role develops campaigns that attract customers, support vehicle sales and service growth, and make effective use of advertising dollars. The ideal candidate enjoys both planning and execution, using campaign results to identify what’s working and where adjustments are needed. Automotive dealership marketing experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing plans for new and used vehicle sales, service, and parts across multiple dealerships.
  • Oversee digital marketing and traditional advertising, including paid search, search engine optimization (SEO), social media, email campaigns, and local media.
  • Partner with general managers to build promotions around inventory, manufacturer incentives, and individual store goals.
  • Manage marketing budgets, agency relationships, and vendor performance, adjusting spending based on results.
  • Oversee dealership websites, online vehicle merchandising, and creative content to keep information accurate and branding consistent.
  • Track campaign performance, including website traffic, lead quality, conversion rates, and return on investment. Present results and recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead and develop the marketing team, establish priorities, and coordinate deadlines with dealership staff and outside partners.
  • Support customer retention through CRM marketing, service promotions, and online reputation management.
  • Ensure advertising meets manufacturer brand standards and oversee OEM co-op advertising submissions.

Work Location: In person, Greater Milwaukee Metro Area
