JOB SUMMARY:
Clemson University Athletics is looking for a Director of Operations - Softball to fulfill the duties and responsibilities outlined below.Organizes, directs and coordinates the program's administrative operations.
Assists the Head Coach in the preparation and control of the recruiting and equipment budget.
Works with academic support staff on matters related to eligibility, enrollment, compliance and academic policy.
Manages all facilities associated with the program.
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
5% Academic Support:Works with academic support staff on matters related to eligibility, enrollment and academic policy. Monitors the academic progress of student athletes.

10% Facility Management:
Manages all facilities associated with the program. Ensures maintenance and appropriate development of program facilities. Works with the Director of Athletics and relevant support staff regarding capital improvements for the program

20% Equipment Management:
Responsible for the preparation and control of the equipment budget. Directs the maintenance and repair of all program equipment. Assists in the purchase of inventory and the safekeeping of program equipment.

20% Recruitment Management:
Responsible for preparation and control of the recruiting budget Assists coaches with recruiting travel and ensures pre and post trip documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner Ensures travel is consistent with NCAA rules Coordinates official visits and ensures records are maintained Assists with transition from prospect to student athlete Promotes a positive image inside and outside the University Directs the production and execution of special promotional events and projects Assists the Marketing Communications and Video support staff with program promotional activities.

45% Administrative Support Operations and Travel Management:
Organizes directs and coordinates the programs administrative operations Responsible for communicating and coordinating directly with visiting teams and works with Event Management to manage home game logistics Manages scheduling of non conference opponents in coordination with the programs supervisor Attends Department Staff meetings Responsible for preparation of the travel budget Coordinates travel planning Plans and administers team travel Arranges airplane charters Ensures issues related to hotel airport and bus arrangements are addressed during team travel Schedules practice sites of away games.

Expected Salary Range
$39,765.00 - $53,684.00Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:
Essential Support - In the event of an emergency closure or modified operations, this position is necessary to maintain/resume essential support functions, deliver direct care services, and/or provide recovery support before normal operations resume. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
