Job Summary
The Director of People & Culture is a key leadership position responsible for developing and executing the company's people strategy to support business growth, organizational transformation, and long-term sustainability.
The role works closely with the Managing Director and Management Committee to build a high-performing, engaged, inclusive, and values-driven workforce aligned with Artisans Angkor's mission, culture, and business objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership
- Translate business strategy into actionable people strategies and workforce plans.
- Partner with Management Committee members to identify workforce needs, talent gaps, and HR priorities.
- Drive employee engagement, well-being, retention, and organizational culture initiatives.
- Lead organizational change and transformation initiatives aligned with the company's vision and values.
2. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Develop workforce planning strategies to meet current and future talent requirements.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection processes to attract high-quality talent.
- Strengthen Artisans Angkor's employer brand through partnerships, events, and talent outreach.
- Oversee onboarding programs to ensure effective integration, engagement, and early productivity.
3. Compensation & Benefits
- Develop and continuously improve compensation and benefits structures to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Oversee payroll operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and transparency.
- Ensure compliance with Cambodian Labor Law, NSSF requirements, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular market benchmarking and review reward practices to support attraction and retention.
4. Learning, Development & Performance
- Develop and implement learning and development strategies to strengthen organizational capabilities.
- Build a strong performance management culture through clear KPIs, regular reviews, feedback, and coaching.
- Identify high-potential employees and lead succession planning initiatives.
- Establish career pathways and talent development programs to support employee growth and business continuity.
5. Workplace Safety & HR Operations
- Ensure workplace safety through effective risk prevention measures and compliance with applicable standards.
- Oversee facilities, tools, and working environments to ensure they are functional, efficient, and safe.
- Lead workplace safety awareness initiatives and promote a culture of accountability and prevention.
- Continuously monitor and improve HR operations, workplace safety, and operational effectiveness.
Main Requirements:
- Extensive experience in senior HR leadership roles such as HR Director, HR Head, or Director/Head of People & Culture.
- Strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on HR execution capability.
- In-depth knowledge of Cambodian Labor Law, NSSF, and HR practices.
- Proven experience in organizational transformation, change management, and culture building.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Analytical and data-driven approach to HR decision-making.
- Experience developing high-performing teams and building leadership pipelines.
