Director of People & Culture
- Lead and oversee all day-to-day operations of the People & Culture Department while collaborating with executive leadership on the strategic implementation of human resources initiatives
- Develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with organizational goals, values, and mission, while remaining adaptable to evolving business needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that encourages open communication, psychological safety, mutual respect, and employee engagement
- Serve as a strategic partner to all departments, providing expert guidance on talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and HR policy matters
- Oversee all aspects of HR administration including compensation and benefits management, leave administration, performance management, talent development, occupational health and safety, and training and development programs
- Lead recruitment efforts in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring a streamlined and inclusive hiring process that attracts diverse talent
- Manage the People & Culture budget with precision, including forecasting, expense tracking, month-end reporting, and strategic financial planning
- Champion employee relations by addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and conducting investigations with fairness, transparency, and empathy
- Empower departmental leaders and managers with coaching, support, and actionable development plans to enhance their leadership capabilities
- Ensure full organizational compliance with local employment laws, regulations, and best practices,
- Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
- Oversee employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and organizational events that celebrate achievements and strengthen team cohesion
- Drive innovation in HR processes and practices, continuously challenging the status quo to enhance both employee and organizational experiences
- Handle disciplinary matters and employee terminations in accordance with company policy and legal requirements, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Provide professional, engaging, and supportive service to all employees, demonstrating commitment to their growth and well-being
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by senior leadership
Knowledge & Experience
- Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of progressive Human Resources Management experience, with minimum 2 years in a director-level or equivalent strategic HR role
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of HR operations including compensation, benefits, performance management, talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance
- Strong understanding of Cambodia labor law & regulations, and local compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex HR concepts to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop leaders at all organizational levels
- Proven expertise in strategic HR planning, organizational development, and change management
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with proficiency in HR metrics and analytics
- Excellent people skills with exceptional emotional intelligence, empathy, and interpersonal abilities
- Solid budgeting and forecasting capabilities with demonstrated business acumen and financial management experience
- Knowledge of expense management and HR technology systems
- Proven conflict resolution and employee relations expertise
- Strong organizational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining professional boundaries and assertiveness when needed
- Flexibility and resilience in adapting to changing business priorities and organizational needs
- Experience in recruitment and talent acquisition oversight
- Familiarity with HR compliance audits and policy development
- Hospitality, technology, or multinational organization experience is considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Championing CSR and sustainability initiatives that benefit the hotel, employees, and the local community.
