About the Role & Your Impact
We are looking for a Director of People to elevate our people operations from the scrappy, early days of a startup into a well-oiled machine that keeps our people, office, and talent acquisition engine functioning at their highest levels. You will pull together a number of processes & policies for hiring, onboarding, events and our office to create an incredible and cohesive experience for our team. If done well, you’ll not only enable us to grow quickly to achieve our business ambitions, but also to achieve our goal of being the best and most sought after company in Colorado.
Who You Are
What You'll do
-
Executive Partnership: Act as a direct, trusted advisor to our leadership team on all things people, facilities, recruiting, events, compliance, and enable them to focus on scaling the business.
-
Build structure & take ownership: You’ll take ownership over many shared responsibilities and improve our core people program operations and cadences with an eye toward what can scale, not just what works today.
-
Recruiting Engine: Partner closely with our Lead Recruiter and hiring managers to build a recruiting machine that supports Product, G&A, and Ops roles as we triple in size over the next 12 months.
-
Compensation & Equity: Maintain our compensation and equity bands so we can make expedited, confident offers, and negotiate fairly.
-
Culture & Team Health: Protect and invest in a culture that values meaningful work, cherishes relationships with their teammates, and doesn’t take themselves too seriously.
-
Facilities: You’ll collaborate with our office manager on the consistent need for office improvements, but also may manage a full office build out should we expand or move.
-
Policy & Compliance: Maintain clean, simple HR policies and processes that keep us compliant without slowing us down. Maintain ironclad confidentiality of our human resources data.
What You Bring
-
5-8+ years in People Operations, HR, or a related function, building - not just running - a people function at a high-growth company.
-
Proven ability to design and implement people programs, policies, and systems from scratch in a fast-moving environment.
-
Comfortable operating as a direct report to a founder or CEO, with the judgment to handle sensitive and confidential matters with the utmost discretion and integrity.
-
Demonstrable experience supporting recruiting, compensation, and workforce planning across diverse functions (technical, sales, and field/ops roles) in a high-growth environment.
-
Passion for and skilled at creating a fun and meaningful work environment, special events, team building opportunities, and positive recognition programs.
-
Comfortable with modern HRIS and ATS platforms, and G-Suite.
-
A great attitude, presence, and a genuine interest in our mission.
