- Develops departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.
- Directs clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.
- Prepares and monitors budget(s) and ensures that the assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds.
- Coordinates and directs internal and externally-driven audits.
- Works collaboratively with physicians, administration and directors to develop streamlined operations where equipment, supplies and staff are utilized efficiently and resourcefully.
- Removes obstacles to achieving clinical quality, service excellence and financial effectiveness targets.
- Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred
Work Experience
- 5 years of experience required. 10 years of experience preferred. 2 years of leadership or management experience required. 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
