Description

CLEAR is building THE secure identity company of the future. Our mission is to make experiences safer and easier—physically and digitally. With more than 43 million Members and a growing network of partners across the world, CLEAR's secure identity platform is transforming the way people live, work, and travel. Whether it’s at the airport, stadium, or throughout your everyday life, CLEAR unlocks the magic of frictionless experiences.

We are looking for a visionary, customer-obsessed, and technology-focused product management leader with expertise in building and scaling consumer mobile experiences. As Director of Product, Mobile, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for CLEAR’s mobile app, shaping it from a collection of features into an intelligent, trusted travel companion that helps members prepare, navigate, and recover throughout their journey.

You will build the mobile app into the most helpful digital layer of the travel day and be accountable for driving adoption, engagement, and member value. You will connect CLEAR’s identity capabilities, real-time travel context, airport operations, member relationships, and partner-enabled services into experiences that are personalized, proactive, and genuinely useful before, during, and after travel. This includes helping members understand airport conditions, find the right path through the airport, discover food and lounge options, and access relevant CLEAR and partner services in the moments that matter.

The ideal candidate has a proven history of setting bold product visions, leading through ambiguity, and delivering scalable, high-quality technology solutions that create meaningful customer value and support rapid learning and iteration. This role will initially lead a small product team with one direct report and will operate as a player-coach: setting a high bar for product thinking and execution while developing talent and scaling the team over time.

What You'll Do:

  • Establish CLEAR’s Mobile app strategic vision and product roadmap in alignment with enterprise goals and member needs. Translate a multi-year vision into a small number of strategic bets, prioritized product investments, structured sequencing, and clear success metrics.
  • Own the mobile product portfolio end to end, including strategy, discovery, prioritization, delivery, launch, and ongoing optimization across iOS and Android.
  • Transform the app into an intelligent travel companion that guides members through preparation, real-time navigation, food ordering, lounge discovery and access, and travel disruptions.
  • Define and deliver proactive, context-aware experiences that translate real-time conditions into useful next actions including personalized timing, wayfinding, disruption support, family and group coordination, service recommendations, airport conditions and availability, and timely human assistance when digital guidance is not enough.
  • Extend the app’s value beyond the airport by creating reasons for members to return, share travel with family and friends, discover benefits, and build a deeper relationship with CLEAR.
  • Be accountable for measurable business and customer outcomes, including mobile app adoption, activation, engagement, member retention, and contribution to CLEAR’s broader membership and subscription goals.
  • Build and lead a high-performing product team. Initially manage and develop one direct report, establish clear ownership and decision rights, coach for stronger product judgment and execution, and grow the team as the scope requires.
  • Create a durable product operating model that supports fast learning and responsible scale, including strong analytics, experimentation, reliability, accessibility, platform foundations, and consistent product development rituals.
  • Use customer research, analytics, experimentation, rapid prototyping, and member feedback to decide where to go deep, where to learn quickly, and where to say no.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Finance, Operations, Member Care, Marketing, Security, Legal, and partner teams to build shared conviction, align trade-offs, and deliver a multi-year transformation.
  • Connect the digital app to the physical airport experience, CLEAR’s service teams, and partner ecosystem so the best member experiences extend beyond the phone including airport information, food ordering, lounge access, Concierge, and other services with Ambassadors, airport operations, and partners.
  • Communicate product strategy, progress, trade-offs, and results clearly to senior leadership, creating organizational alignment while remaining open to better ideas and new evidence.

What You're Great At:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with significant experience building and scaling consumer mobile products.
  • Proven ability to set an inspiring product vision, identify the few strategic bets that matter most, and sequence the work required to make that future real.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing product managers or product teams, including as a player-coach in a growing organization.
  • A track record of delivering large-scale mobile app initiatives, managing technical trade-offs, and ensuring architecture is scalable, secure, reliable, and accessible across iOS and Android.
  • Strong customer empathy and the ability to turn member needs, qualitative research, and behavioral data into clear product decisions and compelling experiences.
  • Ability to establish a data-driven culture around metrics such as mobile app acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and member or subscription conversion.
  • Experience connecting digital products to physical-world operations, service teams, and partner ecosystems.
  • Exceptional strategic prioritization, organizational, and execution skills, with the ability to create clarity and drive focus in complex and dynamic contexts.
  • Strong executive communication and influencing skills; able to align diverse stakeholders around a clear point of view, navigate disagreement, and make thoughtful decisions with imperfect information.
  • A growth mindset, high ownership, and a bias toward action, balanced with the judgment to invest in durable foundations and earn customer trust release after release.
  • Living and imparting CLEAR’s core values: Be Indefatigable, Bias for Action, Embrace Change, Obsessed with the Customer Experience, Speak Up, Our Great People, Own It.
