Director of Retention Marketing

We're building a connected marketing organization where customer relationships are the growth engine, and we're looking for a leader to own that engine end-to-end.
We're hiring a Director of Retention Marketing to own our email, SMS, loyalty, and organic social strategy from the ground up. You'll drive repeat purchase rate and customer lifetime value across both brands, set the testing and optimization roadmap for retention and onsite channels, and build the team and platform partnerships that make it all run.
What You'll Do
- Own retention strategy and execution end-to-end — email, SMS, lifecycle, segmentation, and personalization — including our loyalty and trade programs
- Set the testing and optimization roadmap across retention and onsite channels, including A/B testing, segmentation, and technology evaluation
- Own our ESP (Klaviyo) and digital experience platform vendor relationships and roadmap, partnering with merchandising, creative, product, and technology teams
- Lead organic social strategy and the content calendar, keeping it aligned with our promotional calendar and brand voice
- Partner with site merchandising, creative, and brand leads to ensure a cohesive customer journey across every touchpoint
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team supporting retention marketing and organic social
- 7+ years of experience in eCommerce or digital marketing, with demonstrated leadership in retention marketing
- Deep, hands-on familiarity with email/SMS platforms (Klaviyo) and digital experience platform technology
- A track record running A/B testing, segmentation, and personalization programs across retention and onsite channels
- People management and leadership experience, with a history of building, developing, and retaining strong teams
- Comfort operating across multiple brands and/or within a shared-services model
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and Google Analytics
- Excellent communication and cross-functional influence, including with teams and partners outside your direct reporting line
