Director of Sales & Marketing
Position Summary
The Sales & Marketing Director serves as the primary ambassador for Maravida Senior Living and is responsible for driving occupancy growth through strategic relationship building, community outreach, and sales leadership.
This position is ideal for a highly visible, relationship-driven professional who enjoys being part of the local community, building trusted partnerships, and helping seniors and families successfully navigate the transition into senior living. This is a salaried position with lucrative sales bonus structure and long term growth opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
External Business Development & Community Outreach (80%)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, physician groups, home health agencies, case managers, elder law attorneys, financial planners, senior service organizations, and community influencers.
- Conduct daily outside sales calls and visits to referral sources.
- Represent the community at networking events, trade shows, health fairs, community programs, and professional association meetings.
- Create and execute strategic marketing plans designed to increase qualified leads and occupancy.
- Build and maintain a referral network that consistently generates prospective residents.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships within Sarasota and surrounding markets.
- Maintain visibility in the local community and position the organization as a trusted senior living resource.
- Track outreach activities, referral partner engagement, and sales performance metrics using CRM systems.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop promotional campaigns, events, and community engagement initiatives.
- Serve as the face of the community and promote its mission, values, and services.
Sales & Admissions Management (20%)
- Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective residents and families.
- Conduct consultations, tours, and needs assessments to determine appropriate care and service options.
- Guide prospects and families through the decision-making process with empathy and professionalism.
- Coordinate and oversee the entire move-in process from initial contact through assessment, approval, admission, and successful transition.
- Work closely with clinical, operations, and executive teams to ensure move-in readiness.
- Maintain consistent follow-up communication with prospects, residents, and family members.
- Facilitate residency agreements and admission documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, state regulations, and admission procedures.
- Support resident retention efforts by maintaining positive relationships with residents and families.
- Address concerns proactively and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
