A senior architecture leadership role at Arm in Budapest: the person understands new Arm architecture/IP features, optimizes and profiles real-world software workloads (C/C++, Linux, AI stacks), contributes improvements back to open-source projects, and works with OS, OEM and silicon partners to drive standards and validate functionality, security and safety.
- Understanding new Arm architecture and IP features and their implementation
- Devising promotion of benefits to software ecosystems and resolving adoption issues
- Analysis and deep understanding of software solutions deployed in products, particularly major open-source projects such as Linux
- Delivering software improvements back to relevant open-source projects as references for Arm customers
- Working with Arm’s OS, OEM and Silicon Partners to drive standards enabling optimisation, differentiation, and fast evolution benefits
- Building new software paradigms onto Arm reference hardware designs
- Profiling system performance and innovating improvements
- Leading validation of functionality, security and safety
- Working closely with industry leaders to develop, optimize, and deliver software supporting Arm's IP
- Knowledge of Arm based computer architecture and range of SoCs and devices using Arm hardware IP
- Experience of software profiling, instrumentation, and optimization for real world applications and workloads such as AI stacks, run-time compilers and multimedia processing
- Strong understanding of complex multi-component computing systems with low-level OS/device driver development or integration experience
- Authoritative knowledge of C or C++ development with proficiency in optimizing applications, workloads, and compilers
- Understanding of rigorous software testing and software design for test
- Experience of software lifecycle from concept to production and maintenance
- Experience with Android, ChromeOS or Windows software and systems
- Experience with Linux, Linux distributions, Cloud/Edge applications and networking software
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence software stacks, algorithms and tooling
- Knowledge of multimedia system designs involving GPUs, compositing display processors and image signal processing
- Familiarity with System-on-a-Chip architectures
