Director of Strategy and Business Operations
You will establish company-wide governance for strategic initiatives and turn executive priorities into delivery plans with clear milestones, ownership, dependencies, and measurable outcomes. You will coordinate across functions, remove execution barriers, improve operating processes and review cadences, maintain risk and decision tracking, develop executive reporting, analyse performance, and follow through on executive decisions and post-implementation improvements.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain governance for strategic and business-critical initiatives
- Translate executive priorities into delivery plans, milestones, ownership, dependencies, and success measures
- Monitor delivery progress, risks, resourcing constraints, and interdependencies
- Lead cross-functional coordination and clarify ownership, decision rights, and hand-offs
- Identify and resolve execution barriers and escalate material issues
- Design and improve SOPs, operating processes, governance structures, and accountability mechanisms
- Develop and oversee weekly, monthly, and quarterly business operating cadences
- Maintain project, issue, risk, dependency, decision, and action registers
- Develop executive dashboards and management reporting frameworks
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and track remediation actions
- Structure complex issues into decision options and recommendations for the CEO
Requirements
- Approximately 8–12 years of relevant experience in business operations, strategy execution, management consulting, enterprise PMO, transformation, or a comparable discipline
- Experience leading complex company-wide or cross-functional initiatives involving senior stakeholders
- Experience working directly with CEOs, executive committees, or equivalent senior leadership groups
- Experience establishing operating rhythms, governance frameworks, executive reporting, and management dashboards
- Strong commercial judgement, analytical capability, and practical recommendation skills
- Excellent written and verbal executive communication skills in Mandarin and English
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, prioritisation, and conflict-resolution capability
- Practical understanding of governance, risk, compliance, and internal controls
