Summary

Director-level leadership role overseeing supply chain operations across multiple Sport Group/AstroTurf manufacturing locations. Responsible for SIOP, demand planning, capacity planning, inventory optimization, ERP systems, and procurement strategy. Bridges executive strategy with plant-level execution to drive on-time delivery, forecast accuracy, and inventory metrics.

Description:

This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Operations Scheduling, Planning, SIOP, and S&OE processes across multiple Sport Group locations. These responsibilities include but are not limited to demand planning, capacity planning, inventory planning, supply planning and new product introduction. This person will be accountable for continuous improvement of the supply chain function across the multiple locations and achievement of key metrics such as On Time Delivery, Inventory Days on Hand, and Forecast Accuracy. As a business, operations, and supply chain focused position this individual will be responsible for both developing strategy and executing detailed processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Systems:

  • Establish and optimize the use of Sports Group’s ERP and advanced planning systems functionality for Planning, Scheduling, Capacity Analysis, Demand Management, Order Management, Inventory Management and other Supply Chain functions.
  • Act as subject matter expert for ERP functionality as it relates directly or indirectly to Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

Inventory:

  • Establish optimal inventory levels necessary to achieve target service levels
  • Develop standards of operation to ensure accurate inventory records
  • Assist the plants with aggressive inventory plans and projects to achieve targets

Master Scheduling:

  • Establish and oversee the master scheduling process at the individual site locations and globally
  • Ensure consistent and visible production expectations that meet the long-term supply plans
  • Develop methodology and assist site Production Planners with systematic management of work orders and shop floor schedules

Capacity:

  • Develop and maintain capacity models for production and supply chains at each manufacturing site
  • Identify risk to capacity constraints and optimize throughput

SIOP:

  • Develop and facilitate the SIOP process with Executives and management from the manufacturing sites, Supply Chain and Commercial support departments.
  • Support the development of statistical forecasting models and forecast accuracy measures
  • Collaborate with the commercial departments to establish demand plans
  • Collaborate with individual sites to establish and maintain long-term supply plans using systematic planning tools
  • Develop standard works and daily management systems to link the SIOP plan to the daily site production execution

Procurement:

  • Support and develop site procurement activities to optimize cost and inventory while supporting service level requirements
  • Align procurement strategies with global Category Management strategies to optimize use of strategic suppliers and contracts and maintain a high level of contract compliance
  • Minimize cost related to supply shortages and expedite through the use of procurement daily management practices and supply management standard work

Evolution and Reporting

  • Develop and present standardized SIOP Metrics to business leadership monthly
  • Establish standardized graphs, charts and methods of communicating performance of sites.
  • Analyze financial, costing and other complex data sets. Identify, analyze and solve complex problems as they relate to manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Establish and report key activities by site to improve overall SIOP performance for the business unit.
  • Standardize global performance metrics for Operations to monitor and control production activities.

General:

  • Ensure master data integrity in key systems through process monitoring and control.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with management and workforces across multiple locations.
  • Communicate complex issues and solutions to multiple audiences including executive management, production management and subject matter experts.
