Summary

Leads a federal office focused on improving government-wide efficiency, performance, and shared services coordination for the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Executive Councils, managing budgets, interagency contracts, and policy implementation.

As the Director of the Office of Shared Solutions and Perfomance Improvement (OSSPI) , you will serve as the senior advisor to the Office of Government-wide Policy's (OGP's) Associate Administrator and Principal Duty Associate Administrator. Location of position: OGP, Washington, DC The OSSPI is responsible for coordinating government-wide activities in the area of shared services and other programs. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Serves as the Director of the Office of Shared Solutions and Performance Improvement responsible for ensuring efficiency, effectiveness (including cost effectiveness), and high-quality performance objectives of the office are achieved in support of the Office of Government-wide Policy's mission and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) direction. Assures that office goals, objectives, policies, programs, activities, and initiatives are executed in coordination with senior agency officials and supports successful delivery of services in compliance with the various laws, executive orders, and regulations pertaining to office functions. Oversees collaborations with the OMB and federal agencies to execute various activities for the Executive Councils. Manages the online centralized performance reporting portal and the White House Leadership Development Program, and coordinates the shared services governance ecosystem, including program management supporting OMB's shared-services policy implementation leading to improved performance, customer experience, and operational costs related to mission-support services. Manages a portfolio of major investment projects, negotiating interagency agreements, participating in multi-agency contract negotiations, overseeing governmentwide budget requests, and implementing long-term funding and staffing plans related to managing the collection, distribution and execution of funds to support Executive Councils and other federal priorities as directed by OMB. Approves multi-year and longer range work plans developed by supervisors and managers of subordinate organizational units and manages the overall work to enhance achievement of the goals and objectives. Coordinates engagement and policy development across the Federal Executive Councils ecosystem to include developing and executing cross-agency activities and/or partnerships that advance common goals or address shared challenges across councils. Implements interagency initiatives to elevate and spread best practices and bridge the gap between policy making and implementation to advance administration priorities. Provides leadership, mentoring, and supervision to subordinate supervisors. Provides oversight, direction, and support to subordinate branch chiefs to ensure effective management of the organization and employees including: workload, performance, and administrative issues.
