Role Overview
Inogen is seeking a strategic and data-driven Director, Omnichannel Marketing to lead global omnichannel marketing strategy across healthcare providers, patients, caregivers, and commercial partner audiences. Reporting to the Senior Director of Downstream Marketing, this leader will build and scale Inogen’s omnichannel capability across paid media, direct-response television (DRTV), digital, website experience, email, social, SEO, analytics, AI-enabled workflows, and emerging channels.

Key Responsibilities
Omnichannel Strategy & Leadership
- Define and lead global omnichannel marketing strategy across priority audiences and markets.
- Develop integrated channel strategies aligned with audience priorities, portfolio strategy, commercial goals, and approved messaging.
- Establish the operating model, measurement framework, planning cadence, and optimization discipline for omnichannel marketing.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging marketing technologies to improve engagement, efficiency, and performance.
- Partner across internal MarComm (for messaging and branding), Product Management/Upstream (for positioning and approved claims), channel/audience marketers (HCP, Patient, B2B), Regulatory & Legal, and external agencies (paid media, messaging, and asset development) to align strategy and execution.
Demand Generation & Performance
- Oversee demand generation and engagement strategies across paid media, direct-response television (DRTV), website, search, social, email, SEO, and lead nurture.
- Provide senior strategic direction for DRTV, shaping response-driven creative, offer, media, and measurement strategy, and guiding DRTV production and agency partners to maximize response rates and media efficiency.
- Translate business objectives into measurable marketing outcomes and performance priorities.
- Build a culture of testing, learning, analytics, continuous improvement, and AI-enabled innovation across channels.
- Ensure performance insights are fed back into audience strategy, campaign optimization, and future planning.
Agency, Budget & Vendor Management
- Lead strategic relationships with media, digital, SEO, website, DRTV/TV, and marketing technology partners.
- Own senior-level relationships with external agencies across paid media, DRTV, messaging, and asset development, setting scope, performance expectations, budgets, reporting standards, and strategic direction.
- Evaluate emerging AI capabilities, technologies, and partners that improve effectiveness, efficiency, personalization, and scale.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the senior omnichannel partner to the internal MarComm team, ensuring channel strategy and activation consistently reflect approved messaging, claims, and brand identity.
- Align with Product Management (Upstream) so channel strategy activates validated positioning and approved claims.
- Partner with channel/audience marketers (HCP, Patient, B2B) to translate their audience strategies and campaign briefs into integrated channel activation.
- Ensure Regulatory/Legal and Veeva review gates are embedded in all activation workflows.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the Omnichannel team
- Build team capabilities in digital marketing, analytics, automation, AI, customer journey design, and performance optimization.
- Create a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture that supports business transformation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 10+ years of marketing experience with significant omnichannel, digital, demand generation, or performance marketing leadership responsibility.
- Direct-response television (DRTV) experience, including hands-on strategy and/or production experience developing, launching, and optimizing DRTV campaigns (strongly preferred).
- Experience working in a regulated medical device environment, including overseeing legal and regulatory (MLR/Veeva) review and approvals for marketing content and campaigns.
- Proven success leading integrated marketing programs across multiple audiences, channels, and priorities.
- Experience managing agencies, budgets, analytics, marketing technology platforms, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, prioritization, executive-level storytelling, and change management skills.
