Director, Performance Improvement

Triple P India (TPI) is a strategic extension of the firm’s platform, established to build a high-quality team that operates as an integrated part of U.S.-based teams. Professionals in TPI are involved in live engagements from the outset, contributing to analysis, execution and client deliverables in coordination with colleagues across the firm. The Performance Improvement (PI) team partners with private equity sponsors, lenders and corporates to drive value creation, performance enhancement and transformation across the business and investment lifecycle. This high-output team delivers strategy through execution that is tailored per client needs.

The Director, PI at Portage Point represents a unique opportunity for a highly motivated professional to assume a wide range of responsibilities to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. The Director, PI will lead the India delivery function for transaction execution, operational turnaround and value creation programs, ensuring seamless execution, quality control and scalability. This Director will play a pivotal role in bridging India capabilities with U.S.-based client leadership, driving client impact and platform build-out. This person should be prepared to work within a small, collaborative team environment to manage discrete workstreams. Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery across multiple concurrent diligence, transaction and transformation engagements
  • Act as the primary interface between India and U.S.-based teams
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality operational insights, financial analyses and implementation tracking
  • Drive development of standardized toolkits, playbooks and best practices for operational improvement and turnarounds
  • Lead resource planning, team scaling and capability development within India
  • Maintain rigorous quality control across all deliverables and ensure alignment with client expectations
  • Support business development by contributing to proposal development and solution design
  • Manage internal trainings and best practice sharing
  • Collaborate with U.S.-based teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution across time zones
  • Support talent acquisition and firm-building initiatives
  • Contribute to a high-performing, inclusive and values-driven culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CA preferred
  • Experience working with private equity clients or on U.S.-based and global transactions
  • Willing to relocate to or be primarily present in Gurgaon
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in management consulting, turnaround transaction execution or performance improvement
  • Strong experience in cost transformation, operational turnarounds, transaction execution or cash management programs
  • Proven ability to manage teams in a global delivery model
  • Advanced financial modeling and data analytics capabilities
  • Experience leading complex engagements, managing multiple priorities and ensuring delivery of executive-ready results
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teams
  • High attention to detail, responsiveness and ownership mindset
  • Track record of success in high-pressure, client-facing environment
