Director, Proposal Management, Public Sector (Remote)

• Effectively leads a large, geographically dispersed team of public sector proposal managers across Conduent’s Transportation and Payments & Eligibility lines of business
• Reviews new, approved bids to determine necessary resources to provide full support
• Contributes to and carries out the strategic direction and tactics to establish and maintain a proposal management center of excellence which results in compelling, client-focused responses that win
• Implements and champions best practices to streamline and increase process efficiencies while allowing room for unique, client-centric elements that promote each business unit’s success
• Partners with enterprise sales and account management and subject matter experts (SMEs): offers consistent support across the organization and drives accountability
• Attracts and retains top proposal management talent; promotes employee growth and sets consistent expectations across proposal management leadership and team
• Continually trains, coaches and equips staff for success; drives initiatives that materially improve proposal response quality
• Establishes and maintains comprehensive workload and pipeline view for staffing and reporting in conjunction with proposal leadership and sales enablement teams
• Reviews new, approved bids to determine necessary resources to provide full support to our internal clients, which could include site visits and/or onsite production reviews
• Sets and maintains sustainable staffing plan for temporary proposal surge support with designated lines of business
• Serves as a champion of Conduent’s culture and values; leads by example cross-functionally, among the team and within the department

Education, Experience and Capabilities:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or a related field
• 10+ years leading teams with a strong track record of producing successful outcomes; 5+ years leading proposal teams
• Experience developing proposals for public sector industries preferred with deep understanding of distinct client needs and winning proposal management approaches
• Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate and build relationships a matrixed organization that achieve shared objectives
• Experience managing remote, dispersed teams is strongly preferred; global experience desirable
• High degree of competency using MS Office suite, Adobe Acrobat and procurement systems
• APMP certification and/or involvement preferred
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary

This position can be located anywhere within the U.S. For Colorado considerations only the estimated salary range is a base of $116k - $155k.

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
