Director Quality - Home

You will oversee QC operations at partner factories, ensuring that every product meets Quince's high quality benchmarks. This includes inspecting raw materials, in-process and in-line production, and finished goods for soft home textiles. You will guide manufacturing partners' QC and production teams on in-line quality control, help with first production qualification, and drive problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts. You will investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including customer complaints and non-conforming materials, and prepare detailed reports on inspection results, audits, and non-conformance. You will also ensure factories comply with company standards and good documentation practices by maintaining accurate records of inspections and test results.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee QC operations at factories, including inspections of raw materials, in-process/in-line production and finished goods
  • Provide guidance to manufacturing partners' QC and production teams on in-line production quality control
  • Assist with first production qualification, problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Investigate and address quality-related issues, including customer complaints and non-conforming materials
  • Prepare and submit reports on quality control activities, including inspection results, audits, and non-conformance reports
  • Ensure factories comply with company standards and good documentation practices by maintaining accurate records of inspections and test results

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or relevant field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in quality control, ideally in consumer goods or retail industries
  • Quality control experience in a manufacturing environment and/or field quality experience
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different partners
  • Demonstrated proficiency in root cause analysis as applied in a manufacturing environment
