The Role
Snowflake's Frontier Engineering (FE) Operations organization is seeking a Director/Sr. Manager, Business Planning & GTM to design the operating and financial architecture of the business. Rather than operating in team-aligned silos, this function aligns to the entire business, specializing in a unique swimlane with a deep cross-functional mindset and flow. In short: this team designs the business — think architecture.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Global FE Operations, you will own the planning frameworks, operating model, and analytics foundation that the rest of the operations organization and the FE business run on. You will translate revenue and delivery ambitions into capacity, demand, and organizational plans, and set the data and analytics strategy that makes the business measurable and predictable at scale.
In This Role, You Will:
Own Annual Planning: Lead annual Revenue, Bookings, and Cost planning for the AI Native Engineering (FE) business, partnering with Finance, Sales, and Delivery leadership to build defensible targets and investment cases.
Drive Capacity & Demand Planning: Build and maintain the capacity and demand planning models that align supply (internal and partner resources) to the forward-looking pipeline and delivery commitments.
Set Data & Analytics Strategy: Define the data and analytics strategy for the operations org — the metrics hierarchy, source-of-truth data models, and reporting standards that enable data-led decision-making across every swimlane.
Architect the Operating Model: Design and evolve the operating model — how work flows across Business Ops, Commercial Ops, Business Transformation & GTM, and Ops AI & Tooling — ensuring clear ownership, hand-offs, and governance.
Shape Future Organization Strategy: Develop the future organization strategy, including headcount and skills roadmaps, org design scenarios, and the sequencing needed to scale the business.
Partner Cross-Functionally: Serve as a key connector across Finance, Sales, Delivery, and BizOps to ensure planning assumptions and the operating model reflect real business priorities.
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in business planning, strategic finance, business operations, or a related function, with significant exposure to services or GTM organizations.
2+ years of people leadership, or demonstrated experience leading cross-functional planning efforts and mentoring analysts.
Proven ability to build financial and operating models (revenue, bookings, cost, capacity/demand) and translate them into executive-ready recommendations.
Strong command of operating-model and org-design concepts, with experience defining metrics, data models, and reporting standards.
High proficiency leveraging AI and analytical tooling to accelerate planning, scenario modeling, and data storytelling; SQL proficiency preferred.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders up to senior leadership.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline; MBA a plus.
Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
