You will identify new commercial opportunities, develop existing accounts, and build long-term partnerships with key industry stakeholders. Working across a portfolio of executive events, conferences, leadership exchanges, and digital marketing solutions, you will help clients achieve their business and marketing objectives. You will also develop territory strategies, manage sales pipelines, and consistently deliver against revenue targets. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the value of relationship-led sales.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will take ownership of territory growth, business development, and strategic customer relationships while positioning a diverse portfolio of cybersecurity-focused solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the cybersecurity marketplace, industry trends, and key market drivers.

  • Understand product differentiators and effectively communicate the organization's value proposition within a competitive cybersecurity events landscape.

  • Identify, prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities across the available product and service portfolio.

  • Expand the customer base by re-engaging dormant accounts, renewing existing contracts, identifying upselling opportunities, and targeting high-potential prospects.

  • Build and execute strategic territory sales plans to achieve revenue objectives and exceed event-specific and overall territory targets.

  • Develop trusted relationships with clients, understand their marketing goals, and recommend tailored solutions through a consultative sales approach.

  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospect research and initial engagement to negotiation and closing.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales opportunities, forecasts, and weighted pipeline information within the CRM system.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to share customer insights, market feedback, and opportunities for improving commercial strategies.

  • Deliver outstanding client service, provide customized support, and proactively identify and resolve customer concerns.

  • Travel to regional events across the United States as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in B2B event sales, excellent relationship-building capabilities, and a consistent record of achieving commercial growth. You should demonstrate:

  • 5–7 years of sales experience in trade shows, conferences, live events, or related B2B event-based environments.

  • Proven success in developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and achieving revenue targets.

  • Experience selling B2B events, including conferences, trade shows, or executive roundtables.

  • Strong strategic account management skills, with the ability to manage relationships involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers within the same organization.

  • Excellent consultative selling abilities, including understanding customer objectives and recommending solutions aligned with their business and marketing needs.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform is an advantage.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently.

  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to anticipate client needs and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to regional events throughout the United States.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation, with an estimated annual salary range of $100,000–$120,000 for positions based in New York City.

  • Additional compensation and benefits beyond the stated New York City salary range.

  • Fully remote work environment, with the option to work from home or from the New York City office.

  • Opportunity to work within the growing cybersecurity industry.

  • Exposure to executive-level professionals, technology partners, and influential cybersecurity communities.
