Calgary Alternative Support Services (CASS) is currently hiring sub-contractors Support Home Provider (SHP) & Support Neighbor (SN) in Calgary.

Current Opportunities
Support Home Provider (SHP)A support arrangement where a client lives with a Support Home Provider (SHP), responsible for assisting with daily living activities based on the client’s needs, while ensuring the safety and suitability of the home.
Support Neighbor (SN)A Supportive Neighbour (SN) is a subcontractor who provides flexible, on-call support to an adult with a developmental disability living in their own home, assisting with individualized needs and goals such as home maintenance, shopping, appointments, reminders, community inclusion, and advocacy, while living within a reasonable distance to ensure accessible and timely support, including during emergencies.
What You'll DoDepending on the position, you may:

Provides individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities in their home and community.
Assists clients with daily living activities based on their individual needs, goals, and support plans.
Supports clients with household tasks, meal preparation, grocery shopping, appointments, medication administration when required, recreation, and community activities.
Encourages independence, community inclusion, advocacy, and achievement of individual goals.
Provides flexible and responsive support, including on-call support and assistance during emergencies when required.
Maintains a safe, supportive, and suitable environment for the client.
Builds a respectful and supportive relationship with clients while maintaining confidentiality and following CASS policies and procedures.

QualificationsRequirements vary by position. Candidates will typically have:

Education in Human Services, Disability Studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Current First Aid/CPR certification.
A satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
Additional qualifications or requirements may apply depending on the specific assignment.
