About the Role
As a Community Disability Practitioner, you will support adults with developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, and complex behavioural needs within a group living environment. Working alongside a dedicated team, you will help individuals build independence, achieve personal goals, and actively participate in their community.
Your responsibilities may include:
Providing emotional, behavioural, and physical support
Assisting with daily living activities and personal care
Supporting community involvement and recreational activities
Accompanying individuals to appointments and outings
Implementing support plans and promoting independence
Completing documentation and reports accurately
Contributing to a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment

Schedule
21 Hours per Week (Temporary until July 2027)
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
Certificate or Diploma in Human Services, Disability Studies, Community Rehabilitation, or a related field
Intermediate computer and Microsoft Office skills
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
Reliable vehicle with minimum $2 million liability insurance
Comfortable supporting individuals with diverse abilities and complex needs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in the human services field
Experience in a group home setting
Experience providing personal care
Knowledge of autism, behavioural supports, and de-escalation techniques
Current certifications such as:
First Aid/CPR
Medication Administration
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
Abuse Prevention Response Protocol (APRP)
Positive Behaviour Supports (PBS)
What We Offer:
Starting wage of $21.19/hour
Mileage reimbursement at $0.50/km
