About the Role
Join our Maryborough team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes, Community Access Support (CAS) program, and Community Hubs. We are recruiting Part-Time and Casual Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support that promotes independence, inclusion, and quality of life. Depending on client and service needs, you may be required to implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and support individuals with complex behaviours. Opportunities are available for both experienced support workers and those looking to start or grow their career in the disability sector.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing personal care and support with daily living activities
- Assisting with medication administration and monitoring health needs
- Supporting customers to safely use mobility aids, including hoists and wheelchairs
- Encouraging social inclusion through community participation
- Maintaining accurate documentation and completing administrative tasks as required
Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting people with complex behaviours and implementing PBS plans (highly regarded)
- Experience supporting individuals with complex medical, health, or personal care needs (highly regarded)
- Ability to complete documentation and administrative tasks accurately
- A compassionate approach to supporting people with disability
Requirements
- Current Driver Licence (P2 minimum)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
