Disability Support Worker | Casual & Permanent Part-Time Opportunities | Taigum
About the Role
Join our Taigum team and support people with disability across Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Community Access Support (CAS). We are recruiting both Part-Time and Casual Disability Support Workers. You'll provide person-centred support with daily living activities, community participation and health-related supports. This role involves working with complex needs, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and mobility equipment.
Shifts are available across mornings, afternoons, sleepovers and weekends, with varying start and finish times based on customer needs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing personal care and daily living support
- Assisting with medication administration and monitoring health needs
- Supporting customers using mobility aids, including hoists and wheelchairs
- Encouraging community participation and community access activities
- Completing documentation and administrative tasks as required
Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting people with complex behaviours and implementing PBS plans (Required)
- Experience supporting individuals with complex medical or health needs (Required)
- Experience using mobility aids, including manual handling equipment and hoists (Required)
- Experience supporting customers in SIL and/or Community Access settings desirable
- Ability to complete documentation and administrative tasks accurately
Requirements
- Current Driver Licence (P2 minimum)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Valid Australian working rights
