disc jockey
Summary
Live DJ performing at venues and events, reading crowds, mixing tracks on professional hardware, and managing setup/teardown under tight schedules.
Minimum 5–7 years of proven, continuous professional DJing experience at live venues/events (bedroom/hobbyist mixing not considered)
Formal training or verifiable mentorship in DJ/music production techniques — certificate or portfolio required at application stage
Must pass a live audition set — reading a crowd and mixing on the spot with unfamiliar equipment, no exceptions regardless of résumé
Demonstrated hands-on mastery of professional DJ hardware (CDJs, mixers, controllers) across multiple brands/setups, not just one familiar rig
Proven ability to seamlessly beatmatch, transition, and recover from technical faults (track skips, gear failure) without killing the energy
Strong, versatile music library and genre range, able to read and adapt to different crowds (corporate, club, cultural events) within the same night
Zero tolerance for missed sound checks, late arrival, or unprepared equipment before showtime
Able to independently manage full setup and teardown of DJ equipment within compressed technical windows, often under 1–2 hours
Willing to sign exclusivity/non-compete clauses covering active event and residency periods
Available for irregular and late-night hours, including weekends, public holidays, and short-notice bookings (24–48 hours), with zero tolerance for scheduling conflicts
