The role
Run the Discord every new Sloosh user lands in. Welcome thousands of new members a
week, help them get a great first result, and give them reasons to come back. You report
to Bharat (Product Marketing & Launch).
What you'll do
- Build and run the Discord: structure, onboarding, roles, bots and moderation
- Host fortnightly workshops, office hours and walkthroughs of new Spaces
- Create 2–3 recurring formats people come back for, like weekly challenges and
- showcases
- Co-run monthly hackathons and launch moments with the events team
- Recruit and lead a volunteer moderator crew across IST and US hours
- Send product a weekly digest of what members ask for and struggle with
- Surface the best member work for Sloosh's social channels
- You'll be measured on community join and first-post rates, weekly active members, and
- how members activate and retain vs non-members.
You might be a fit if
- You have 2–4 years running online communities, and you've grown one on Discord,
- Slack, WhatsApp or Telegram to thousands of active members
- You know Discord inside out
- You've designed and hosted recurring formats: challenges, AMAs, workshops or
- hackathons
- You use AI image and video tools and can make a post yourself
- You write warmly and stay calm in heated threads
Nice to have: community experience at an AI, creator-tool or ed-tech company; US
communities; a volunteer moderator or ambassador crew you've built.
