Job Overview – Dishwasher

We are seeking motivated, experienced, and personable Dishwashers that is able to work long shifts to meet the demands of multiple meal services. They begin the day by wiping down and pots, pans and containers that are necessary for initial food prep. Dishwasher’s scrub kitchen instruments, cutting boards and knives between each order so that Line Cooks have sanitary instruments to prepare meals. Once customers finish eating, Dishwashers wash the dishes, take out trash, replace trash bag and set up the drying rack and place the dishes in their designated area to make it easy for Cooks to plate meals. At the end of the day, they wipe down the dish pit and spray the floor mats.

Specific Job Responsibilities – Dishwasher maintain work area organized, pick up dirty pots and pans from the line and well as replenishing them, deep cleaning, line sweeps sweep and mop at end of shift. Further duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
2. Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
3. Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
4. Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
5. Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by vendors.
6. Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.
7. Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
8. Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
9. Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
10. Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.

Working Hours - The working hours of the Dishwasher could be 4 to 6 hour shifts, 3 to 5 days a week. The hours may vary due to business needs and the needs of the operation.

Working Environment – As a Dish washer standing and walking for extended periods of time will be required. You will also have to be comfortable working in a confined work area with multiple Associates. You will also be exposed to hot and cold temperatures while operating various equipment and kitchen tools . The cleaning, and maintaining kitchen equipment outlets will also require crouching, reaching and moderate to heavy lifting throughout the shift.

Candidate Requirements: A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a similar setting of multiple outlets preferred.
