DISPATCHER (AM)
Summary
Coordinates freight dispatch, sources carriers, and optimizes routes to ensure cost-effective deliveries while providing customer service to clients and drivers.
Position Overview: Primarily responsible for executing the dispatch process that supports Operations. Provides exceptional customer service to customers and drivers.
Hours: Position requires an early morning start; work hours may vary based on business and operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Responsible for carrier sourcing and development.
- Regularly and accurately dispatches customer-controlled freight.
- Responsible for verifying carriers are approved and meet all internal/external requirements.
- Optimize routing to be cost effective
- Acts as liaison for solving driver and carrier issues.
- Responsible for maintaining carrier and customer base.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required.
