Dispatcher - Night shift - OKC, OK

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily movement of drivers, vehicles, and freight to ensure safe, efficient, and timely transportation operations. The dispatcher serves as the primary communication link between drivers, customers, management, and other members of the transportation team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily schedules, routes, pickups, deliveries, and driver assignments.
• Dispatch drivers and vehicles based on customer requirements, availability, and operational priorities.
• Monitor driver locations, trip progress, and delivery status using GPS or transportation management systems.
• Communicate continuously with drivers regarding routes, delays, schedule changes, traffic conditions, and other issues.
• Provide customers with accurate updates regarding pickup and delivery times.
• Respond quickly to delays, breakdowns, accidents, missed appointments, and other transportation-related problems.

Requirements

While prior dispatch experience is preferred, it is not required. Additionally, experience with in-cab communication is a plus. Other requirements include proficiency in the MS Office Suite, the ability to pass a Non-DOT physical, a drug test, and a criminal background check.
