- Schedule and dispatch drivers for deliveries and pickups.
- Monitor routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and management to coordinate logistics.
- Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues in real time.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of driver schedules, routes, and load details.
- Handle emergency situations and provide support to drivers on the road.
- Utilize dispatching software to manage workflow efficiently.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of previous dispatch experience (driver dispatching given preference)
- Previous experience in trucking or transportation dispatch preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and trucking industry standards
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma or equivalent
