Dispatcher (Sunmat)
Ready-Mix Concrete Dispatch
• Schedule and coordinate ready-mix concrete deliveries from Sunmat plants and approved third-party suppliers to all active Suntec project sites.
• Build daily and weekly pour schedules in coordination with project superintendents and foremen; sequence trucks to maintain placement rhythm and minimize idle time.
• Confirm mix designs, slump, air, admixture, and special requirements with the supplier prior to dispatch.
• Adjust truck cadence in real time based on field conditions, pump rate, and weather.
• Reconcile delivered yardage against batch tickets and project tracking; flag short loads, returns, and rejections.
Concrete Pump Coordination
• Schedule line pumps, boom pumps, and trailer pumps with approved pumping vendors based on pour size, reach, and access.
• Match pump capacity and configuration to placement requirements; coordinate set-up windows with the field.
• Track pump arrival, washout, and release times; manage same-day reschedules and emergency callouts.
• Maintain a current rate sheet and approved vendor list; verify insurance and safety compliance before dispatch.
Saw Cutting Crews & Equipment
• Dispatch saw cutting crews and equipment for green cuts, control joints, demolition cuts, and decorative work.
• Coordinate with self-perform crews and approved sawing subcontractors based on volume, geography, and timing.
• Sequence sawing immediately behind placements to ensure cuts are made within the appropriate window.
• Track saw equipment status — owned and rented — and coordinate fueling, blade replacement, and maintenance needs with the yard.
Aggregates & Bulk Materials
• Schedule deliveries of aggregate base course, sand, drainage rock, and other bulk materials to project sites.
• Coordinate inbound logistics for cement, fly ash, and admixtures supporting Sunmat plant operations.
• Maintain accurate delivery windows, ticketing, and quantity reconciliation.
• Build and maintain working relationships with regional aggregate suppliers and bulk haulers.
Placement Equipment & Consumables
• Dispatch supporting placement equipment as needed: power trowels, screeds, vibrators, laser screeds, buggies, and similar.
• Coordinate delivery of placement consumables: form release, curing compounds, curing blankets, plastic sheeting, expansion material, and small tools.
• Work with the Rental Equipment Manager and yard staff to confirm availability before dispatch.
Communication & Documentation
• Receive, prioritize, and confirm dispatch requests through phone, radio, email, and dispatch software.
• Maintain real-time logs of all dispatch activity in the enterprise system of record.
• Generate daily and weekly dispatch reports covering volumes, on-time performance, exceptions, and vendor issues.
• Update pour calendars and three-week look-aheads in coordination with project schedulers.
• Triage competing requests across regions; escalate conflicts to the Rental Equipment Manager and project leadership.
Vendor & Carrier Coordination
• Maintain strong working relationships with ready-mix suppliers, pumping vendors, saw cutting subs, and aggregate haulers.
• Verify carrier insurance, MVRs, and safety compliance documentation prior to dispatch.
• Track on-time performance and service exceptions; provide monthly vendor performance summaries to leadership.
• Negotiate spot rates within delegated authority; resolve service issues quickly and document outcomes.
