Day-to-day:
- Identify, assign, and dispatch available loads to drivers, ensuring that freight is safely picked up and delivered as promised.
- Provide clear verbal instructions to drivers regarding their load assignment including but not limited to delivery time, and load special instructions
- Place driver on ready board, read appropriate messages, take appropriate action according to messages
- Ensure information entered in TMS system is accurate and aligns with information on BOL, and any discrepancies are communicated and documented
- Receives and accurately enters load information on the TMS system to build a load
- Maintain open clear communication with all co-workers.
