About the Role:

As a Dispatcher Trainee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely coordination of services within our business operations. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in managing the flow of information between clients and service providers, ensuring that all requests are handled promptly and accurately. You will learn to utilize various dispatching software and tools to track service requests and monitor the status of ongoing operations. This position is designed to provide you with hands-on training and experience in logistics and communication, preparing you for a successful career in dispatching. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in receiving and processing service requests from clients and internal teams.

  • Learn to utilize dispatching software to track and manage service assignments.

  • Communicate effectively with service providers to ensure timely execution of tasks.

  • Monitor the status of ongoing operations and provide updates to clients as needed.

  • Participate in training sessions to develop skills in logistics, problem-solving, and customer service.

Skills:

In this role, strong communication skills are essential as you will be the link between clients and service providers, ensuring that all parties are informed and satisfied. Basic computer skills will be utilized daily to navigate dispatching software, input data, and generate reports. Problem-solving skills will come into play when addressing any issues that arise during service execution, allowing you to find effective solutions quickly. Time management skills will be crucial as you prioritize multiple requests and ensure timely responses. Additionally, a customer-focused mindset will help you build positive relationships with clients and enhance their overall experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service or logistics.

  • Familiarity with dispatching software or tools.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands – Dispatcher

  • Office-based position with minimal physical demands.

  • Occasional driving or travel is required for training purposes.

  • Frequent sitting; regular use of hands for typing, writing, phone use, and handling files.

  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, or reaching.

  • Occasional lifting and carrying of files or materials up to 10 pounds.

  • Frequent use of stairs; Central Station is on the second floor with no elevator access.

  • Close vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus are required.

  • Frequent speaking, hearing, and fine motor skills are required for communication and computer work.
