What we build reaches millions of drivers worldwide.<div> </div>Mission of the role:Lead end-to-end display subsystem development for local and global customer programs, ensuring high-quality delivery of Instrument Cluster and Display solutions through strong technical ownership, supplier collaboration, and seamless cross-functional integration. Key Objectives of the Role:<ul><li>Own all technical aspects of the display subsystem across pursuit and development phases.</li><li>Act as the primary technical interface with customers, display suppliers, and internal engineering teams.</li><li>Translate customer requirements into robust display specifications and validated technical solutions.</li><li>Select and drive the adoption of appropriate display technologies and suppliers to meet performance, cost, quality, and timing targets.</li><li>Ensure successful integration of display hardware, drivers, and interfaces within the overall system architecture.</li><li>Lead display requirements analysis and specification development.</li><li>Define display architecture, interfaces, and driver requirements in collaboration with system, software, electronics, and mechanical teams.</li><li>Evaluate, select, and technically manage display suppliers throughout development and production readiness.</li><li>Conduct and/or support electrical, optical, and performance validation activities to ensure display performance meets requirements.</li><li>Drive design verification activities and lead issue resolution throughout the development lifecycle.</li><li>Provide manufacturing and launch support to ensure stable, high-quality production.</li><li>Prepare and maintain clear and accurate technical documentation related to display design and integration.</li></ul>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):<ul><li>Customer Technical Relationship: Effectiveness and quality of technical collaboration with customer display engineering teams.</li><li>Project Execution: Delivery of display development activities and milestones on time and within scope.</li><li>Problem Resolution: Speed and effectiveness in diagnosing and resolving display-related technical issues.</li><li>Technical Documentation Quality: Accuracy, completeness, and clarity of display specifications and integration documentation.</li><li>Supplier Technical Management: Ability to guide suppliers to meet technical, quality, and program requirements.</li></ul>Key Year One Deliverables:<ul><li>On-time delivery of all customer and program display-related milestones.</li><li>Successful execution of technical reviews and presentations to customers.</li><li>Well-supported and data-driven recommendations for display technologies and suppliers.</li><li>Established, trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to apply and leverage emerging display technologies relevant to automotive programs.</li></ul>Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:Strong technical knowledge of display systems (TFT, LCD, OLED), including:<ul><li>Display technologies and principles of operation</li><li>Performance characteristics and limitations</li><li>Manufacturing processes and quality controls</li><li>Display driving requirements and system-level design</li><li>Display testing, validation, and measurement techniques</li></ul>Other requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics or a related engineering or scientific discipline.</li><li>Experience in the development of display systems for high-volume automotive production.</li><li>Familiarity with capacitive touch systems, controllers, and related software algorithms is an advantage.</li><li>Strong electronics engineering background and system-level understanding.</li><li>Experience working with customers and suppliers in a technical environment.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively use AI in day-to-day work.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Proficiency in German is considered an advantage.</li><li>Proficiency with standard office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).</li><li>Please include an English version of your resume with your application.</li></ul>Key Behaviors:<ul><li>Strong team orientation with a collaborative mindset.</li><li>Structured problem-solving and analytical thinking.</li><li>Ability to make sound technical decisions in complex environments.</li><li>Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.</li><li>Proactive approach and strong communication skills.</li></ul>Reporting Structure: <ul style="margin:0px 0px 1rem;font-size:17px;"><li style="margin:0px;">Reports to: Display Engineering Manager. </li><li style="margin:0px;">Location: Karlsruhe, Germany.</li></ul>Since 2000, Visteon has been advancing mobility through our state-of-the-art product portfolio that merges advanced displays, domain controllers, digital cockpit innovations, AI-enhanced software, and integrated EV architecture solutions.
