DISTINGUISHED SCIENTIST/ENGINEER FOR USW ANALYSIS OF DISTRIBUTED MARITIME OPERATIONS (DMO)
You will serve as the Distinguished Scientist/Engineer for Undersea Warfare (USW) Analysis of Distributed Maritime Operations (DMO). You will be an expert in conducting integrated and distributed platform warfighting effectiveness analysis, generating force and campaign level scenarios, evaluating system solution alternatives, assessing emerging technology future concepts, and evaluating Navy Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and Concepts of Employment (CONEMPS).
You will spend approximately 65% of their time initiating, planning, overseeing, executing, assessing and communicating analysis projects supporting the advancement of Navy USW DMO effectiveness and USW technology, tactics and techniques.
You will advise senior level OSD, DOD, and Navy officials on USW DMO warfighting effectiveness assessments.
You will coordinate with sponsors, stakeholders, and acquisition offices to provide the analysis products that can influence technology maturation plans, integration pathways, and the prioritization of emerging capabilities.
You will provide quality assurance insights to preserve the scientific integrity of USW research and development efforts, validating that system architectures and approaches align with long-term vision, warfighter needs, and enterprise strategies.
You will share expertise by activities such as chairing or advising on technical review boards, concept evaluation panels, and design authorities to ensure that research outputs meet the highest standards of rigor, relevance, and interoperability.
