Summary
The Oracle Database Administrator manages and maintains critical Oracle 12c/19c database environments, focusing on performance tuning, high availability, and security. The role involves daily monitoring, patching, backups using RMAN and Commvault, and supporting database migrations and upgrades.
- Manage and maintain Oracle 12c/19c databases, including ODA-X9, Oracle Standalone, ASM, and Data Guard, in critical production environments.
- Ensure database availability, performance, reliability, and operational stability.
- Perform daily monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Administer database installations, patching, upgrades, backups, and recovery using RMAN and Commvault.
- Monitor Oracle environments through Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Maintain high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, including Oracle Data Guard.
- Ensure database security, access control, encryption, and GDPR compliance.
- Support migrations, deployments, upgrades, and other technical projects.
- Standardize and document operational procedures.
- Drive proactive monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database 12c/19c.
- Hands-on experience with RMAN, ASM, Data Guard, and ODA.
- Experience with Commvault backup and restore.
- Proficiency in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Strong Unix/OEL Linux administration and scripting skills.
- Proven experience in production and high-availability environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning capabilities.
- Knowledge of database security, compliance, and GDPR requirements.
- Experience with database migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
- Proactive approach to automation, monitoring, and service improvement.
