Distributed Cloud | SQL Server Database Administrator
Summary
This role involves administering and maintaining SQL Server databases, focusing on performance tuning, automation, and data management. The position requires a blend of database administration and software development skills using technologies like PowerShell, Python, and .NET.
- Administer and maintain OLP/OLAP SQL Server databases.
- Perform database tuning, performance optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Manage database partitioning and optimize data management processes.
- Develop automation scripts and tools using PowerShell, Python, and/or C# to support DBA activities.
- Design, improve, and automate large-scale information and data collection processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of DBA processes and internal applications.
- Ensure database environments remain stable, efficient, and scalable.
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Database Administration.
- Strong technical background combining Database Administration and Software Development.
- Master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Professional experience with PowerShell and Python and/or .NET.
- Experience with Git for source code version control.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, database partitioning, and performance tuning.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on automation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
