Come change the game with us. Apply today! Join our team as an Area Manager and lead operations for the weekend shift Training team. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on problem-solving and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You’ll oversee safety, efficiency, and team performance while driving continuous improvement at our Junction City, KS distribution center. Weekend shift: Friday-Sunday 6am-6:30pm Responsibilities Direct and coach your team to achieve daily operational goals Ensure compliance to EHS, quality, and employee relations standards Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to drive process improvements that optimize cost, efficiency, and product integrity while eliminating waste and process variation Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and teamwork Lead your team's daily shift start-up meetings and actively contribute input during the site's daily production meetings Identify cost-saving opportunities and support financial planning process Manage labor plans and daily demands, making real-time decisions to optimize service and cost Participate in internal and external audits and resolve findings effectively Support hiring and talent development within your department Troubleshoot WMS issues and support system improvements Qualifications Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop talent and provide growth Background in developing, updating, and facilitating trainings Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Word and Excel Strong reasoning, analytical, and organizational skills Teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with different levels within the organization At Foot Locker, we value innovation, authenticity, and integrity in all that we do. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
