Distribution Overhead Groundman

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with digging, trenching, pole setting, and site preparation
• Handle tools, materials, and equipment for linemen and operators
• Set up work zone protection, including flagging and traffic control
• Assemble materials on the ground and assist with hoisting using handlines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites and vehicles
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Support crew operations as directed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment

Working Conditions

• Work is performed outside in all types of weather environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, climb, stoop, stand, and lift for long periods of time.
• Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform job duties.
