Our Distribution Department is currently looking for a Distribution Shipping Clerk/Returns. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for packing and shipping boxes to satisfy customer orders.
• Responsible for matching the customer invoice by the delivery number that is printed on the invoice to the delivery number that is on the box.
• Must match and apply the internal barcode shipping label by delivery number that is printed on the label to the delivery number that is on the box.
• Fill the box with dunnage air-bags to sufficiently protect the products in the box form shifting during transport to reduce damage during shipping.
• Run the box through the automatic carton sealer.

Fed Ex and UPS shipment processing

• Check delivery number on the label to the delivery number on the box as a final check to ensure that the correct box is being shipped.
• Scan the barcode on the internal address label. This will bring in the customer's name and address directly from SAP and print a carrier specific shipping label, either FedEx or UPS. The label will be applied to the box.
• Place the box on the pallet that is being built with completed shipment.

Truck Loading

Using a pallet jack, the shipping clerk will load completed pallets onto the applicable truck-FedEx shipment on the FedEx truck. UPS shipment on the UPS truck.

Box Preparation

Shipping clerks will assemble and tape sufficient boxes for the picking of customer orders in advance.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking short distances during the 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Finished pallets are stretched wrapped for protection and labeled. knowledge of pallet jack. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Data Entry/ Computer skills a plus.
