District Account Manager

The District Account Manager manages retail and wholesale accounts within an assigned district to achieve sales growth, distribution goals, and in-store execution excellence. This role builds strong customer relationships, executes account plans, and ensures alignment between district priorities and Swisher’s broader commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned district accounts to achieve volume, distribution, and profitability goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with retail and wholesale partners to strengthen customer engagement and execution.
- Develop and execute customer-specific sales plans aligned with regional and corporate priorities.
- Execute sell-in of new products, innovation, and promotional programs to drive incremental growth.
- Use category insights and fact-based selling to influence shelf placement, display standards, and promotional compliance.
- Analyze sales results and market data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for growth.
- Partner with brokers, field sales, and retail execution teams to ensure consistent in-store activation.
- Manage trade funds and promotional budgets responsibly, ensuring adherence to financial and compliance guidelines.
- Monitor competitive activity and provide feedback to support strategic adjustments.
- Participate in joint business planning sessions and performance reviews with customers and internal leadership.
Qualifications:
Required
- 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or customer development within consumer goods.
- Prior experience working with brokers or independent distributors.
- Proven ability to achieve sales and distribution targets in a defined territory or channel.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with retailers and distributors.
- Demonstrated experience with trade promotions and in-store execution.
- Proficiency with sales analytics tools, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel daily within assigned territory (occasional overnight travel may be required).
- Valid driver’s license.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field or a combination of equivalent experience.
