Location: East Texas with property locations in Tyler, Lufkin, Nacadoshes, Grand Prairie & Plano

Salary: $85,000 annually (Subject to adjustment for onsite living)

National Property Management Associates, Inc. an industry leader in residential apartment living has an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to assume the role of District Manager for our East Texas district with property locations in Tyler, Lufkin, Nacadoshes, Grand Prairie and Plano. Office operations is located out of Grand Prairie.

The ideal candidate will possess a progressive background in property management to include no less than five years' experience managing multiple sites. Must have excellent leadership skills along with the ability to manage employees at all levels of the organization. In addition, the willingness to travel 70% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Clear and concise communication with each property manager, regional manager, and corporate office with regard to general operations
  • Property inspections / visits on a weekly basis with on-site manager
  • Manage and direct staff at multiple sites
  • Monthly monitoring of the current advertisement / marketing campaigns to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
  • Ability to act proactively and propose changes to upper management
  • Drive occupancy levels to within company ranges
  • Accompany ownership during onsite visits
  • Monitor the income and expenses
  • Conduct managers meetings every other month
  • Hire and train employees, providing professional development through mentoring and coaching across all sites
  • Prepare monthly & annual projections & budgets for each site and work within those financial guidelines

Skills:

  • 5 years of proven work experience in property management
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, & communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask various duties
  • Proficient computer skills along with analytical ability
  • Professional demeanor
  • Working knowledge of MRI and Nexus a definite PLUS
  • Meet travel requirements to multiple sites - up to 70 % travel
