Dive Maintenance Tech III / Excursion and Electronically Controlled UBA Tech
Summary
Maintains and repairs diving equipment, trains personnel on electronically controlled underwater breathing apparatus (E-UBA), and manages inventory for a Navy dive division in Virginia Beach.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Conducts scheduled and unscheduled preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAV Instruction 4790 scheduled in 3M for all open circuit and closed circuit items including E-UBA, MODE, SCUBA tanks, regulators, air compressors, Haskel oxygen and N2O2 charging booster pumps and kits, diagnostic test equipment and tools, buoyancy compensators, surface swim life preservers, depth gauges, pressure gauges, underwater communications equipment, full face diving masks, Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS) associated equipment and NAVSEA Certified Life Support Systems.
- Develop and write comprehensive curricula for end-user training on the E-UBA to qualify E-UBA maintenance technicians. Deliver training and certification programs to NSW personnel, ensuring operational proficiency. Maintain training records and provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement. Must be available to travel to conduct training and maintenance at remote sites within NSW.
- Process requests, maintain records, and manage the issue, turn-in, gain, and loss of capital assets, minor property, and operational consumables (OPCON) assigned to Dive Division.
- Conducts monthly inventories, bi-annual inventories, and annual inventories of gear managed in ELMS/DPAS by NSWG-2 N4.
- Investigates and process paperwork for missing, lost, stolen or damaged property.
- Assists with customer service, issue turn-in, issue, lost, stolen, and/or damaged documents (DD Form 1149, DD Form 1150, DD Form 1348, DD Form 200) and receipt of diving equipment. Check and track dive equipment requests on NIPR/SIPR network and assist in procuring and issuing dive equipment with SEAL Team representatives.
- Maintains access and complete required training to manage inventories within the command Accountability Property System Record (APSR) through ELMS/DPAS programs.
- Obtain factory-trained certifications for E-UBA as needed or required. Prior experience is not required. Costs associated with certifications and travel are financial responsibility of NSW.
