Dive Maintenance Technician III

Title: Dive Maintenance Tech III / Supply Database Specialist /Personal Property Custodian III

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Conducts preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAV Instruction 4790 scheduled in 3M for all open circuit items including SCUBA tanks, regulators, air compressors, Haskel oxygen charging booster pumps and kits, diagnostic test equipment and tools, buoyancy compensators, surface swim life preservers, depth gauges, pressure gauges, underwater communications equipment, full face diving masks, Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS) associated equipment and NAVSEA Certified Life Support Systems.
• Process requests, maintain records, and manage the issue, turn-in, gain, and loss of capital assets, minor property, and operational consumables (OPCON) assigned to Dive Division.
• Conducts monthly inventories, bi-annual inventories, and annual inventories of gear managed in ELMS/DPAS.
• Investigates and process paperwork for missing, lost, stolen or damaged property.
• Assists with customer service, issue turn-in, issue, lost, stolen, and/or damaged documents (DD Form 1149, DD Form 1150, DD Form 1348, DD Form 200) and receipt of diving equipment. Check and track dive equipment requests on NIPR/SIPR network and assist in procuring and issuing dive equipment with representatives.
• Maintains access and complete required training to manage inventories within the command Accountability Property System Record (APSR) through ELMS/DPAS programs.
