Diversion Hub Resource Officer
POSITION OVERVIEW
Embedded within the Oklahoma County Detention Center
The Diversion Hub is a comprehensive, one-stop network dedicated to assisting justice-involved individuals in Oklahoma City by harnessing the power of multiple support agencies through combined and synchronized services. Our goal is to provide life-stabilizing resources while empowering individuals to reduce their encounters with the criminal legal system through enhanced support services. The Diversion Hub has a team embedded within the Oklahoma County Detention Center to coordinate in-custody programming, release and discharge planning, and connections to community-based services. Diversion Hub staff assess individuals to identify eligibility for bond opportunities, diversion programs, and other alternatives to incarceration while facilitating access to recovery, educational, and supportive programming. Through coordinated case management and collaboration with justice system and community partners, the embedded Diversion Hub team promotes successful reentry and helps reduce unnecessary incarceration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Diversion Hub Resource Officer will focus on supporting the execution of the Diversion Hub's programs and mission. The responsibilities of this role include:

Demonstrating the values expected within the program and promoting the mission of the organization.

Completing all training and certifications to be deputized by the Oklahoma County Detention Center and fulfilling all obligations to uphold a valid certification.

Working within the Oklahoma County Detention Center to identify and assess individuals who may be eligible for pre-trial release programs and/or diversion programs.

Assisting with the transportation and security of detainees for all programs offered in the detention center.

Maintaining consistent communication with Diversion Hub’s Jail Programs Coordinator to ensure effective program flow, client participation, and overall program success.

Assisting with the transportation and safety of Diversion Hub staff members throughout the detention center.

Collaborating consistently with Diversion Hub staff, law enforcement, court system stakeholders, and the jail administration at the Oklahoma County Detention Center.

Operating strictly within the rules and regulations provided by the Oklahoma County Detention Center to maintain good standing with the privileged position.

Keeping an up to date understanding of relevant programs and processes, such as all Diversion Hub programs, pre-trial bond programs, diversion programs, and treatment court programs.

Supporting access to individuals to increase effectiveness of re-entry discharge planning.

Providing access to individuals being detained who need the appropriate assessments and/or screening for community-based programming.

Serving as liaison between Diversion Hub, jail administration, and court system stakeholders.

Maintaining quality communication channels with community partners and diversion programs.

Supporting community providers in facilitating transportation of individuals to a diversion and/or pre-trial release program.

Managing the Diversion Hub survey completed by individuals brought into jail to assist with appropriate releases and/or diversion programming.

Collaborating with partners and various stakeholders to address ways to better support individuals being detained in custody.

Attending all training necessary to fulfill job as determined by both Diversion Hub, but also the Oklahoma County Detention Facility.

Participating in community events related to criminal justice reform.

Any other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job and/or organization.
