The Opportunity
Our client is a market-leading, international support services partner and business process outsourcing (BPO) specialist. They deliver complex, high-consequence operational & digital solutions across a diverse portfolio of critical public & private sector contracts. Following a period of strategic evolution, they are seeking a visionary Divisional Chief Executive Officer to spearhead their UK business unit.
Managing a significant £mm portfolio, you will hold absolute P&L accountability for a workforce of several thousand. Your primary mandate is to accelerate AI adoption, drive market share growth, manage profound operational change & expand operating margins - maintaining world-class customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Vision & Growth
- Strategy & Planning: Formulate and execute the long-term divisional strategy and annual business planning cycle, to outperform existing financial baselines.
- Business Development: Spearhead high-value framework bids and strategic pursuits to win market share from competitors - requiring commercial acumen.
- Marketing Mix: Optimise the positioning of the division's B2B and B2C service offerings to maximize brand value and market penetration.
Operational Excellence & Change
- AI & Data Management: Champion rapid AI adoption and data-driven governance to automate legacy workflows and unlock predictive operational insights.
- Managing Change: Lead the end-to-end transformation of complex service delivery models without disrupting ongoing performance.
- Operations Management: Oversee highly complex, multi-site front-line operations, ensuring relentless focus on customer service and contractual KPIs.
- Business Continuity: Guarantee enterprise resilience through robust crisis management protocols across all critical national infrastructure contracts.
Financial & Governance Mandate
- Financial Management: Command a £mm pound P&L, implementing strict budgetary controls to deliver consistent operating margin growth.
- Commercial Management: Oversee complex government and commercial contracting, mitigating risk whilst identifying margin-enhancement opportunities.
- CSR & ESG: Embed sustainability, social value, and net-zero targets into the fabric of daily operations to satisfy evolving public sector procurement standards.
People & Culture
- People Leadership Skills: Inspire, unify, and empower a vast, diverse, and geographically dispersed workforce.
- Human Resources (HR): Partner with HR to cultivate a high-performance culture, create robust talent pipelines, and enhance industrial relations.
The Candidate
Proven Track Record
- Scale: Experience operating as a CEO, Managing Director, or COO within a large-scale business unit.
- Sector Knowledge: Deep expertise in complex business services, outsourcing, logistics, or regulated government contracting environments.
- Transformation: Proven success in margin expansion through tech-enablement, automation, or structural reorganization.
