Dock Supervisor
Midland Transport is currently seeking a Dock Supervisor to be based at our Dieppe Terminal.
The Dock Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the execution of the daily dock plan, ensuring the efficient movement of freight and equipment within the terminal. The Dock Supervisor coordinates trailer assignments, communicates with drivers, monitors trailer readiness, prioritizes freight, and manages door assignments to support safe, productive, and timely operations.

• Lead, coach, and develop dock employees to achieve and exceed operational performance objectives.
• Ensure efficient staffing and execution of daily dock operations.
• Monitor freight flow, trailer departures, cubing, re-weigh compliance, and OS&D claim control.
• Coordinate trailer and door assignments, communicate with drivers, and monitor trailer readiness.

• Drive operational excellence through employee development, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• High school diploma required; post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.
• 5+ years of experience in transportation, terminal, dock, warehouse, or logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of dock operations, freight flow, and terminal procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with AS400 is considered an asset.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
